This need was the inspiration for the creation of Sporos, a company that aspires to revolutionize children’s nutrition, offering healthy and tasty options, ready to satisfy the nutritional needs of our little friends as well as the most demanding parents.
The first steps
The idea for children’s snacks was started by Eri, a mom who spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking for her child, and Anna Maria, a sports nutritionist with extensive experience in nutritional analysis of recipes and informing adults and children about a more balanced way of living. The two founders created a line of fresh, handmade, nutritious and delicious snacks for kids, just like any parent would make at home.
Healthy habits from an early age
“We aim to change the way parents approach their children’s nutrition and help adopt healthier habits from an early age, while giving back to every mum and dad something important: a little more free time for themselves and their family” , says Eri Christogiannis, co-founder of Sporos Meals.
With the help of their scientific team, consisting of a pediatrician and a child nutritionist, original snacks were created with “hidden” legumes, fruits, vegetables and olive oil, such as the chickpea cracker, the oatmeal cookie with flaxseed, the apple breadcrumbs with turmeric, the crackers with cocoa and honey, the bun-flavored energy balls and more.
“The children’s snacks we created are rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients that contribute to the proper and healthy development of children, combined with a more balanced diet,” says Anna Maria Volanaki , co-founder of the company. “Together with our team chef, we carried out hundreds of tests until we achieved the perfect result, exactly as we imagined it.”
